ACTIVE OUTINGS

With the Cape to Cape right there, you are bound to find a walk that fits your fitness and skill level, or length that you feel like walking. No matter how long or short your walk, you will be amazed by the landscape and beauty of this cape.

 

Throughout the region you will also find various mountain bike trails and tracks. So why not jump onto a hired bike and let yourself indulge in the tracks that are designed for various different levels of enjoyment.

 

BEACHES

You cannot go wrong with any of the beaches along the coastline, however the following places have just that little something extra.

Meelup Beach, where the ocean meets the sand flowing into the grassed area with its big shady trees.

Indjidup Beach, that sand dune is great fun for the kids and adults alike.

Prevelly, technically a little township, it has the beauty of several beaches which are famous amongst the surfing community. Here you will also find the Margaret River Mouth which is lovely for walks or explore it from up close and enjoy a canoe trip.

Hamlin Bay Beach, where you can find stingrays mostly all year round, however definitely in it’s peak season.

 

CULTURE

For an aboriginal experience you would want to check out Koomal Dreaming with his Cave Tour and Bush Exploration.

You will feel transported and connected to the beauty this country beholds.

 

Search for anything Undalup Association or WAITOC Events related and you are in for a treat.

 

HISTORY

When you feel like wanting to know more about how this south west corner came about and what has happened here over the years, pay a visit to Ellensbrook House and learn about the local history.

Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse is also filled with historical stories and remnants of the gone years. With this lighthouse being right on the edge where two oceans meet, it’s a lovely visit in its own right.

 

Some other options are;

Whale watching, Cave Tours or a drive around all the quaint little townships that are scattered around.

For some indulging delights, there are a few ice creameries around. Do a tour around Harmans Mill Road for some tastings of all sorts.

Or have yourself a glass of wine or beer at various brewery or winery locations that are scattered all throughout the south west.
