We have put together a handy Barn Hives Guide for any questions that you have provided with the answer.

You can find all the information and tricks without needing to wait or having to call!

This is our easy way to help you find a quick solution.

And a great way to get to know us and read about our vision, ideals and our love for life.

A/C reverse cycle air-conditioning

For moments where an instant cool/heat is required, there is reverse cycle A/C unit for your comfort.

We have paid special attention to cross-ventilation in the design of these Hives to achieve comfort without the use of harsh mechanical implements.

When opening the windows to allow for the breeze to come in, closing the blinds to keep the sun out and turning on ceiling fans, you will find the pods nicely cool and comfortable to relax in, without the harsh and unnatural feel of air-conditioned air.

To change between ‘heating’ and ‘cooling’; Use the ‘mode’ button to indicate either a sun (for heating) or a snowflake (for cooling)

switch a/c off when you’re away for the day.

Animals

We love to share our land with our beautiful chooks, Barnyard ducks and our lovely honey producing bees.

Besides the animals we have given a home, we also are a home to local wildlife like the frogs you will hear calling each other at night, birds that will share their song all throughout the day, lizards that are trying to hide away and snakes that will love to be left at peace in the tall grass and under dead wood and fallen leaves.

Please be aware and respect that this is their place too.

Art

We as locals want to support locals. Plates, bowls, coffee cups are all hand made by local Wilyabrup Dreaming pottery. Our outside sculptures and the art displayed inside our restaurant and Hives are all made by local artist.

Wander around the property to find the dogs, our camel and the stork nest egg that still hasn’t hatched!

Drinking water is provided from the mini tap in your kitchen sink. This water has been captured by your individual pod when it rains. This water makes it’s way through the UV filter through gravity and is supplied through the mini tap for you to enjoy. Another self-sustainable feature that we have incorporated. In case it stops it could be an air bubble in the pipe, just lightly tap or knock the spout.

Use this water for cooking also, as this is the most delicious water around.

The general kitchen tap and shower are connected to our spring water source.

This water is filtered and safe to drink too. Brought to the pod for the washing up and cleansing showers for your convenience.

We have added some bumps to slow down, get a glimpse of the girls and start being mindful of your surroundings.

So don’t go xoompin. Which your car will be thankful for as well ;)
